The UK Government published the AI Opportunities Action Plan on 13 January 2025, which set out the agenda of the country’s national AI plan. The report outlines how the UK will work in building up it’s own AI capabilities, to grow the economy and create jobs of the future.

The agenda is broad and covers areas including healthcare, education and employment, with specific recommendations including national supercomputers, AI Growth Zones, and the establishment of an AI Energy Council.
